About Us
**We are a new organisation and have only been operating a relatively short time with very limited resources. We are still in the process of setting up some aspects of our work and our main focus has been to test and develop our innovative methods.
We are a charity. Our people and our work are entirely charitable. We have a charity governance model including appropriate documentation and leadership including a team of at least 3 independent trustees. We fully expect to be registered with the Charity Commission by early 2026.**
Our mission is to strengthen the connections between local people to activate more impactful, sustainable and rewarding support systems that benefit the whole community.
The major challenges in our individual lives stem from issues that impact the whole community. Social issues including poverty, isolation, inequality, addiction, mental health, prejudices, abuse, violence, apathy, lack of social justice and others, affect individuals in almost every community and impact the community as a whole.
The most powerful, empathetic and sustainable solutions to these challenges lie in our collective efforts. If we all take responsibility for improving these issues together, working as a community, for the community, we can make deeply transformative and longstanding impact, for everyone.
Right now, there are resources and opportunities available in our communities that are not being used as effectively as they could be, and there is a lack of solid systems for harnessing connections and giving mutual support.
Act Now aims to enable and empower stronger communities by providing simple and sustainable systems that bring people together to make impactful change. We act quickly and learn by doing; we are always listening, working with care, and constantly striving to improve.
By using simple systems that are sustainable in the long term, we start a virtuous cycle of positive change: the more people take action, the more they feel empowered to tackle the issues their community faces, and the more challenges they overcome themselves, the more impactful their solutions become.

Our Background
The Act Now Initiative was founded by experienced community champion, Will Frost. Will has lived and worked on the ground in some of the poorest communities on five continents, forging deep human connections and collaborating with individuals, groups, organisations, leaders, local authorities, and national governments to build projects and systems that create social value.
During more than 20 years’ experience in engaging and empowering communities all around the world, Will has come to learn that most people really do want to do more for those that have less, and the key to empowering this action is better connected communities.
He launched the Act Now project after the COVID pandemic with its first initiative, Nourish Now, and provides ongoing guidance and support to all the initiatives in the Act Now ecosystem.
The Act Now Initiative is a new charity. Charity Commission registration is in progress. We expect our registration to be complete by early 2026.
