Cook an extra portion
to share with
a friend in need

Help fight food poverty and social isolation by sharing the food you cook just once a week.

Just make one extra portion of whatever you’re cooking and deliver it to a person in need less than 10 minutes walk away. If you’re unable to make the delivery yourself, you can arrange to have it picked up and dropped off by a local Connector.

Meal Connectors build connections with both cooks and diners to ensure the home-cooked meals get to the right people in your community. If you’re not into cooking, this vital role could be the one for you!

For food banks, community centres, or other organisations that reach out to local residents, it’s easy to bolt on Nourish Now to the work you’re already doing. This is a great way to strengthen relationships and boost community participation, and it helps everyone’s resources to go further.

How it works

How it helps

By sharing home-made meals just once a week, you can make a real difference for people facing food poverty and social isolation in your local area with little extra effort or cost.

As well as providing food to someone who needs it, Nourish Now grows local relationships and strengthens community bonds. A friendly face and a chat can be just as important to our diners as the meal itself.

Everyone in our community deserves to feel nourished by a home-cooked meal, and everyone deserves to feel the warmth of a support network during challenging times. Since this project started in XX, it has provided more than 3000 home-cooked meals and created over 6000 community connections.
