Trustees

Our team of trustees provide oversight, guidance and inspiration to the work at Act Now, harnessing their local knowledge, lived experience, and diverse range of skills and expertise. We are governed by the community, for the community, and we make this role welcoming, convenient and accessible for those who would not normally be offered trusteeships. These positions are flexible according to the needs of individuals and the organisation, but we tend to have 3-5 trustees at any one time and roles typically last for 6-12 months. Community Connections Network

We maintain a thriving network of community members who play a vital role in the planning and development of the initiatives in their neighbourhoods.They help us identify opportunities and engage networks, as well as raise awareness and promote ownership of their projects in the communities we’re collaborating with. Interns

Our team of amazing interns provide much appreciated support with office work and on the ground, helping to run our initiatives, putting together leaflets and social media, keeping on top of admin, and just generally helping the organisation run smoothly day-to-day. We support all our interns to develop their interests and play to their strengths. Advisors

Our advisors are people with useful knowledge and expertise who live outside the communities we’re directly collaborating with. They have professional or lived experience that’s relevant to our work and lend their support (and a sympathetic ear!) to help us overcome challenges and move our initiatives forward. Participants

Everyone who takes part in our work as a volunteer or recipient is regularly asked for feedback and encouraged to share their insights.
